Salt Point is located in Dutchess County, New York and northeast of the City of Poughkeepsie following NY Route 115 (Salt Point Turnpike). East of Salt Point, the Taconic State Parkway allows for easy access from many of the surrounding towns and communities with easy travel to New York City.

- The Helen Aldrich Park, part of the Pleasant Valley township recreation system of parks. From Taconic Parkway, take the NY Route 115 (Salt Point Turnpike) exit heading west for 3 miles turning left onto Hibernia Road. Once on Hibernia Road, the park is located .1 miles on the left. The park includes the following; tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball field with lights, a pavilion and nice playground for little toddlers.
- The Frances J. Mark Memorial Park is located on County Route 18, belonging to the nearby Town of Clinton. From Taconic Parkway, take NY Route 115 (Salt Point Turnpike) exit heading west for 3 miles turning right onto County Route 18. The park is located on the left .5 miles north from County Route 115 (Salt Point Turnpike).
- Friends' Park located just slightly east of the NY Route 115 (Salt Point Turnpike) exit off the Taconic Parkway and is also part of the Town Clinton's recreational system. Once on NY Route 115 the park is located on the right. The park includes the following; basketball courts, a baseball field, a pavilion and a small playground.
